A troubled private investigator learns dark secrets about his new client. When Olivia Siegel disappears, her grandfather, a famous Hollywood producer, hires private investigator John Sugar to look into the case. As he begins to gather evidence, Sugar discovers the dirty secrets of the Siegel family that help explain the case but also put him in danger.
