A mad genius and his anxious preteen grandson go on wacky cosmic adventures. Alcoholic super scientist Rick and his gormless grandson Morty enter into a series of unexpected intergalactic adventures. As Morty slowly becomes accustomed to his grandfather’s love of lawless chaos, he tries to compensate with sensible ideas that inevitably prove his naivety. Despite his cynicism, Rick also involves the rest of the family on his trips through the mad multiverse of distant planets, alien life forms, and alternate realities.
