Lee Chandler, sıhhi tesisat, elektrik, kapıcılık gibi sıradan işler yaparak, tek göz bir evde yalnız başına yaşayan depresif bir adamdır. Doğup büyüdüğü ama uzun zamandır uğramadığı kentten bir gün acil bir telefon alır. Kalp hastası abisi hastaneye kaldırılmıştır ve durum ciddidir.
